Calling all future broadcasters!

Every Thursday morning from 8:00 – 8:30am, a Grade 3, 4, or 5 student from a school on Cape Breton Island will join Tashia Lee live on New Country 103.5 to deliver the weather in English or Mi’kmaq. We’re honoured to incorporate Mi’kmaq language into our forecasts, sharing words like na’qu’set aq alug (sun and cloud) with our listeners.

Until June 12th, 2025, each participating student will receive a prize pack worth $50 and have their photo taken with Tashia!
