Calling all future broadcasters!

Every Thursday morning from 8:00 – 8:30am, a Grade 3, 4, or 5 student from a school in Unama’ki/Cape Breton Island will join Tashia Lee live on New Country 103.5 to deliver the weather in English and Mi’kmaq. We’re honoured to incorporate Mi’kmaq language into our forecasts, sharing words like na’qu’set aq alug (sun and cloud) with our listeners.

From March 27th to June 12th, 2025, each participating student will receive a prize pack and have their photo taken with Tashia for our social media – with parental permission of course!
