The Savoy Theatre is excited to announce that “MAGGIE”, a new musical
production co-created by award-winning Scottish Canadian recording artist, Johnny Reid, is coming to Cape Breton.

In celebration of the musical’s debut, the Savoy Theatre, in collaboration with Johnny Reid, is launching the “Granny Hall of Fame”. MAGGIE is a heartfelt story inspired by Reid’s own granny and the impact she had on his life and his family, but it is a story that transcends beyond Reid’s own family and is sure to resonate with Cape Bretoners.

Nominations are now open and Cape Breton residents are invited to nominate the exceptional grannies in their lives. Nominators will have the chance to share the inspiring stories of their remarkable grannies, highlighting their contributions and the positive influence they have had on their families and communities.

Five winners will be chosen to be featured in the Granny Hall of Fame, each receiving the ultimate MAGGIE package which includes a meet and greet with co-creators Johnny Reid and Matt Murray, MAGGIE swag and two tickets to the much anticipated MAGGIE show at the Savoy Theatre.
